AGE APPROPRIATE LIVING

today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow...

In collaboration with the interior designer Diana Kreis from Zuzwil, a showcase project of a user-centered concept for age-appropriate living was presented - in the new building and renovation of the Sonnmatt Senior Centre in Uzwil.

The haptics of natural materials and the effect of fresh and modern colours played just as important a role as the ergonomics of the furniture and the numerous private retreats.

«Aging is often a self-imposed restriction - for itself and for others. It is rather a becoming, finding and growing - in the shift from outside to inside!»

Ingrid Markart, Managing Director

The residents of the 78 rooms should be able to maintain their previous habits and furnish their premises with personal belongings. It is important to promote communication with each other and with visitors

The contract for Zingg-Lamprecht included the furnishing and furnishing of the residents' rooms, the balconies and retreat niches, went through multi-purpose rooms, dining areas, restaurant, reception and prayer room, to the meeting room, relaxation facilities for the staff and office and meeting rooms and the staff restaurant.

A GOOD FEELING OF SECURITY...

For 1.5 years successfully in operation, the Seniorenzentrum Sonnmatt in Uzwil conveys a place of peace and security in a rural atmosphere. The complex and the surroundings are well maintained and stimulating.
The Caféteria Sonnmatt is a popular place to stay - also for visitors and relatives.
