1. place in the competition
We are proud to announce our success in a project competition in which Zingg-Lamprecht was able to demonstrate its outstanding expertise in architectural drafting and design. The project centred around the central question: "How do we learn and work today and tomorrow?" Through thorough analysis and a visionary approach, we succeeded in winning the competition and developing a pioneering concept that could have a positive impact on the client's culture and the future of its working and learning environments.

HOW DO WE LEARN AND WORK TODAY AND TOMORROW?
Our analysis centred on changing working and learning habits, with a focus on the concept of "New Work". We recognised the need for decentralisation and flexibility, both physically and digitally, and developed an adaptive space programme that met the needs of a modern working and learning environment. This included smaller spaces for group work, individual work and one-to-one meetings, as well as the strategic positioning of collaboration areas, communal areas and retreats.

Our idea was to create a room programme that would give the client a competitive edge and combine functionality, flexibility and aesthetic requirements.
«We developed a concept that allows for different room configurations, offers elastic spaces with versatile furniture and tools and promotes a natural and dynamic room arrangement .»

A ROOM PROGRAMME THAT COMBINES FUNCTIONALITY, FLEXIBILITY AND AESTHETICS

A key element of our concept was the design, which was based on the combination of "high-tech and natural romanticism". We broke up the monotonous, rigid structures and created a connection between indoor and outdoor areas.
Our focus was on a restrained, tactile and human appearance that allowed technology to be seamlessly integrated into the environment without being too visually present. The usage concept included various areas such as superflex spaces, auditorium, breakout and workshop areas, privacy zones, elastic spaces, socialising and health areas.

MILESTONE FOR THE FUTURE OF WORKING AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
Here, we placed great emphasis on the needs of the user groups, including managers, employees and guests, and integrated personalised, excellent hospitality concepts to support innovative work processes.

Our design guidelines emphasise the flexibility and multifunctionality of the spaces as well as the creation of iconic forms as guiding elements. By implementing these innovative concepts and design guidelines, we not only won the competition, but also set a milestone for the future of working and learning environments.
