Markus Lamprecht opens a cabinetmaker’s workshop in Zurich’s Seefeld district. |
1907-1938 |
Gold medal at the World Exhibition in London with a designed dining-room sideboard. The core business comprises high-quality furniture for sleeping, living and dining made from precious woods, sold Switzerland-wide via the specialist trade. |
1938 |
The 2nd generation, with Alice and Jakob Zingg-Lamprecht, takes over the company. The focus shifts from production to the retail business. |
1964 |
Founding of Zingg-Lamprecht AG, which develops over the following decades into a true expert on Scandinavian home furnishings. |
April 1979 |
Fritz von Ballmoos takes over at the helm of Zingg-Lamprecht AG with its 40 staff and restructures the company. The new focus is Italy with the credo «Good design throughout the home». |
1984 |
Construction of the warehouse and administration building in Brüttisellen. The commercial furnishings business develops into a strong income driver. |
Early 2003 |
Yves von Ballmoos takes over the operative management from his father, who now presides over the Board of Directors. |
2004 |
Opening of the commercial premises branch in Bern-Ittigen. |
Today |
Zingg-Lamprecht presents itself today as the leading outlet for superior and design-oriented furnishing for private and corporate customers in Germanspeaking Switzerland. |
